REFUND POLICY

Our Commitment

At Safe Kids Path, we stand behind the quality of our products. If your order arrives damaged or defective, we will make it right—either with a replacement or full refund.


What Qualifies for a Refund

We accept returns and issue refunds for the following reasons only:

✓ Damaged During Shipping

  • Torn or ripped book pages
  • Crushed or dented magnetic box
  • Water damage to products
  • Books arrived with loose or falling-out pages

✓ Manufacturing Defects

  • Misprinted pages
  • Missing pages
  • Binding defects
  • Illegible or smudged printing
  • Pages stuck together

✓ Missing Items

  • Order incomplete (missing books from box set)
  • Missing parent guide
  • Missing components advertised in product description

✓ Wrong Product Sent

  • We sent you the incorrect version (our error)
  • Wrong item shipped entirely

What Does NOT Qualify for a Refund

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • ✗ Change of mind after opening/reading books
  • ✗ Ordered wrong version (boy vs. girl vs. mixed)
  • ✗ Child didn't engage with the books
  • ✗ Personal preference or dissatisfaction with content
  • ✗ Normal wear and tear from use
  • ✗ Damage caused after delivery (child damage, spills, etc.)

Why: These are educational books. Once opened and read, the content has been delivered and cannot be resold. We cannot accept returns of used books for general satisfaction reasons.


Timeframe for Damage Claims

You have 7 days from delivery date to report damaged or defective products.

After 7 days, we can no longer accept damage claims, as we cannot determine whether damage occurred during shipping or after delivery.

Your delivery date is listed in your shipping confirmation email.


How to Request a Refund or Replacement

If your order arrived damaged, defective, or incomplete:

Step 1: Document the Issue

Take clear photos of:

  • The damaged product(s)
  • The shipping box (if visible external damage)
  • Specific defects (misprinted pages, tears, etc.)

Step 2: Contact Us Within 7 Days

Email us at: support@safekidspath.com

Include in your email:

  • Your order number (found in your confirmation email)
  • Clear description of the damage or defect
  • Photos of the issue
  • Whether you prefer a replacement or refund

Step 3: We Review Your Claim

We will review your claim within 24 hours (business days) and respond with:

  • Approval for replacement or refund
  • Instructions for next steps
  • Tracking information (if replacement)

Step 4: Resolution

If Replacement:

  • We ship a new box set immediately (same-day or next-day)
  • You typically keep the damaged item (no return required)
  • Replacement ships at no cost to you

If Refund:

  • We process your refund within 3-5 business days
  • Refund appears in your account within 5-10 business days (depending on your bank)
  • You may be asked to return the damaged item using a prepaid label we provide

Refund Method

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used for your order.

What you'll receive:

  • Full product price
  • Original shipping cost (if you paid for shipping)

What is NOT refunded:

  • Expedited shipping upgrades (if you chose Priority or Express, only standard shipping cost is refunded)

Refund processing time:

  • 3-5 business days after we approve your claim
  • 5-10 business days for refund to appear in your bank account (bank processing time varies)

You'll receive email confirmation when:

  • Your claim is approved
  • Your refund is processed

Return Shipping

For damaged/defective items: We provide a prepaid return shipping label. You do not pay to ship it back.

In most cases, you don't need to return damaged items. We typically send a replacement and allow you to keep or donate the damaged product (if still usable for educational purposes).

We only require returns if:

  • You request a refund instead of replacement
  • The damage is minimal and we need to evaluate in person
  • You received the wrong product due to our error

Product Condition for Returns

If a return is required, products must be in the condition they arrived:

Acceptable:

  • Gently inspected
  • Minimal handling
  • Original packaging (box set, books, parent guide)

Not Acceptable:

  • Excessive wear beyond inspection
  • Writing or drawing in books
  • Pages torn or removed
  • Missing components
  • Products damaged after delivery

Note: For damage claims, we understand the product is already damaged—this guideline applies only to non-damaged returns (wrong product sent, etc.).


Exchanges

If we sent you the wrong product: We will send the correct product immediately and provide a prepaid label to return the wrong item. No charge to you.

If you ordered the wrong version: Unfortunately, we cannot exchange opened/used books. Please review product descriptions carefully before ordering.

If your item is damaged: We will send a replacement of the same product (or you may request a different version as your replacement).


International Orders

Return shipping: For international customers with damaged/defective items, we provide prepaid return labels for most countries we ship to.

Customs/duties: Any customs fees or import duties paid upon delivery are non-refundable and are the customer's responsibility.

Refund amount: International customers receive a refund for the product price and original shipping cost (if applicable), but not for customs/duties.


Lost or Stolen Packages

If your package shows "delivered" but you never received it:

This does not qualify as a damaged/defective product claim. However, we want to help:

  1. Check with neighbors, building management, or household members
  2. Verify the delivery address in your order confirmation
  3. Wait 24 hours (sometimes carriers mark "delivered" early)
  4. Contact the shipping carrier with your tracking number

If the package is confirmed lost or stolen: Email us: support@safekidspath.com. We'll work with you on a case-by-case basis to find a resolution (replacement or refund at our discretion).

Prevention tip: Ship to a secure location (workplace, trusted neighbor, or request signature confirmation at checkout).


Non-Refundable Items

The following are final sale and not eligible for refund under any circumstances:

  • Digital products (if we offer downloadable content in the future)
  • Gift cards
  • Clearance or promotional items marked "final sale"

(Currently, all Safe Kids Path physical products are eligible for damage/defect claims)

Current policy applies to:

  • All orders placed after December 1, 2024
  • Orders placed before this date follow the policy in effect at time of purchase
