Most kids don't melt down because they want to — they melt down because they don't have the words for what they're feeling.

The My Feelings Keep Me Safe Flipbook gives them those words.

Designed for children ages 4–7, this colorful self-standing flipbook covers 20 real emotions kids actually experience — from Angry and Scared to Embarrassed, Grumpy, Jealous, Bored, and more. Each color-coded tab features a kid character showing exactly what that feeling looks like, making it simple for children to point to how they feel and start the conversation.

Instead of shutting down or acting out, your child learns to name what's happening inside them — and choose what to do next.

What makes it different:

  • 20 emotions covered — not just the basics. Includes Jealous, Embarrassed, Disappointed, Impatient, Grumpy, and more
  • Color-coded fan tabs so kids can identify their feeling instantly — no reading required
  • Self-standing design works on any desk, shelf, or calm-down corner
  • Diverse illustrated characters so every child sees themselves
  • Portable — use it at home, in the car, at school, or in therapy
  • Pairs perfectly with The Complete Safe Kids System — the books install body safety language; the flipbook installs emotional language. Together they raise a child who can speak up for themselves in any situation

All 20 emotions: Angry · Sad · Scared · Tired · Silly · Shy · Happy · Nervous · Jealous · Worried · Embarrassed · Disappointed · Bored · Confused · Impatient · Surprised · Sick · Proud · Grumpy · Hungry

Ideal for: Ages 4–7 · Home · Classroom · Therapy · Calm-Down Corners · Children with ADHD or Autism

When a child can name what they feel, they can ask for what they need. That's not just emotional intelligence — that's safety.

This flipbook is colorful and easy for kids to understand. The emotions are clear, and the pictures make it simple for children to point to how they feel.

How It Works

1

Your child feels a BIG emotion

They're frustrated, angry, sad, or overwhelmed and don't know what to do.

2

They flip to their emotion using the tabs

8 color-coded tabs make it easy to find exactly how they're feeling right now.

3

They choose a healthy coping action

"I can take 3 deep breaths" • "I can ask for a hug" • "I can count to 10"

❌ Instead of:

"I'm so mad!" → Tantrum, meltdown, hitting

✅ They learn:

"I'm frustrated. I can take 3 deep breaths and calm down."

What Makes It Different

  • • Kids use it BY THEMSELVES — No parent required in the moment
  • • Visual + interactive format — Kids flip, choose, and act (not just reading)
  • • Specific coping actions — Not generic advice, but real strategies that work
  • • Portable & durable — Works at home, school, car, anywhere
  • The quality of this book is excellent! The printing is clear! There is no odor at all. I study with my child, and I find it very helpful. The pictures inside are also very cute and suitable for children! The design on the side is very thoughtful, and it's easy for children to turn the pages! I really like this book! It's worth recommending!

  • This flipbook effective for teaching emotions, with many pages dedicated to different feelings and questions about them. The book is colorful and has clear visuals, making it fun to read with my kid.

  • This cute little flipbook is a great addition for a nursery, daycare, therapy office, or children's library, although I'd actually like it better if it was displayed like a regular children's book: BECAUSE it's a flipbook, you can't see the emotion and the suggested response at the same time (side by side), which would be more intuitive.
